After World War I ended in 1918, economic prosperity took Western Society on a wild ride through the 1920's. In fact, France referred to the Twenties as the "Annees Folles" or the Crazy Years!

Modern technology defined the era with cars and manufacturing driving the growth of modern cities. Charles Lindbergh was the first to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean from New York to Paris.

Art was transformed with radio, motion pictures, The Jazz Age and Art Deco.

Universal Studios, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros. all delivered exciting new "talking pictures." Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse!

F. Scott Fitzgerald captured the magic of the era with The Great Gatsby, the quintessential portrait of this amazing decade. So much of what we take for granted today was born in this amazing period.
